The crisp snap of seasonal glitter starts with the Holidays by the Sea weekend in Falmouth. Begin the festive holidays singing carols in Woods Hole Village as the winter’s sun sets over Vineyard Sound, taking the trolley to Nobska Lighthouse for their Holiday Open House. Greet Santa as he arrives by boat at beautiful Falmouth Harbor. Run the 14th Annual Jingle Jog or GhELF Run. Join in the celebration of the lighting of the Village Green. Enjoy the boutique shopping, entertainment, fun family activities, dining and holiday decorations of Falmouth Village at the Holiday Stroll. Get ready for the biggest small-town Christmas parade in all Southeast New England.

Nobska Lighthouse Holiday Open House

Take the trolley* from Woods Hole Village to Nobska Point to have your picture taken with Mrs. Claus and enjoy holiday music by The Brass Ring ensemble. Warm up inside the renovated Keepers House, enjoy cocoa and cookies provided by Coffee Obsession, color a portrait of Nobska created by local artist Karen Rinaldo, Gallery on Main, and see inside the lighthouse tower at night!
Arrival by trolley ONLY*, there will be no public parking at Nobska during this event. There is FREE public parking available in Woods Hole in any MBL lot and on Water Street. (meters are free after 6pm).

The Solstice Singers lead us in a festive seasonal sing-along of familiar holiday classics. Hop on the trolley on Water Street and take it to Nobska Lighthouse to partake in their Holiday Open House. Join us for the Falmouth Village Holiday Stroll, the Falmouth Village Association’s cherished contribution to the Holidays by the Sea Weekend. Enjoy an evening of festive shopping, live entertainment, and community celebration in the heart of Falmouth Village. The evening will feature Santa at Barbo’s Furniture from 4:00PM to 5:45PM. At Peg Noonan Park you will find a live ice sculpture by South Cape Ice from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, Cape Cod Photo Bus 4:00PM to 6:00PM and a brand-new Local Artisans Art Market at from 3:00PM to 8:00 PM. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks, carolers, live music, line dancing, dance performances, face painting, cookies, cocoa, and plenty of family-friendly activities, along with special offers and treats from participating local shops. At 5:45PM, Santa will lead everyone down Main Street to the Village Green, accompanied by the FHS Choir, followed by the traditional Lighting of the Village Green at 6:00 PM. Parking will be available downtown in municipal lots, as well as at Mullen Hall School, Lawrence School, and the Palmer Avenue Steamship Authority Lot will be open for free until 10:00 PM. *Rain or Shine

The parade, organized under the theme of “HOLIDAY MOVIE NIGHT," will step-off at noontime from Dillingham Avenue and Davis Straits and proceed along Main Street to the Village Green. It will feature decorated floats, marching bands, costumed characters and Santa Claus! Smile for the cameras, as FCTV will once again film the entire parade for local viewing. *Rain or Shine
