Fireworks on Thursday, July 4th, at 9:00 PM, from a barge off the Falmouth Heights Beach. Can be seen from all south-facing beaches, Nobska and the harbor.
There are piping plovers and nesting terns nesting in our south-facing beaches. Since these are popular areas for viewing the fireworks, we ask that patrons exhibit extreme care not to disturb these nesting birds.
There are additional State mandated requirements in effect this year. Specifically, please observe the following:
1. No dogs allowed on the beaches along Surf Drive;
2. Respect the fencing and signage along Surf Drive;
3. Stay out of fenced-in areas along Surf Drive
4. Respect and follow the directions of the Mass Audubon monitors and Town Staff.
Thank you for your cooperation. Let’s enjoy a safe evening for all.
As in years past, traffic will be restricted from entering the Falmouth Heights area at 6 pm. The restriction will stay in effect until the spectators have safely left the area. To alleviate traffic congestion as a result of the heavy volume created by the annual Falmouth Fireworks Display, the Falmouth Police Department has devised a traffic plan for vehicles exiting the Falmouth Heights area. Police officers, along with electronic message boards will guide motorists out of the Falmouth Heights area. All motorists are advised to plan their route in advance.
Refer to Falmouth Police Department fireworks page for specific information about road closures, parking, traffic exit plan, safety, rules and regulations.
