The Falmouth Chamber Young Professionals are excited to announce that “Season Opener 2008,” a charity event to benefit the Falmouth Service center, has been scheduled for Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Cape Wind Waterfront Resort (34 Maravista Avenue Extension, East Falmouth.) Come celebrate both the beginning of Cape Cod’s off-season and the Patriots’ first game of the year, all while raising money for a terrific local cause! Kickoff time for both the party and the Pats-Chiefs season opener is 1:00 p.m., with the event scheduled to conclude at 7:00 p.m. Bob Crane from Crane Appliance has generously donated a big-screen TV to watch the game on, and CapeEntertainment.com's Bryan Laughead will DJ and provide a sound system so we can enjoy the Patriots’ season opener outdoors!
The Falmouth Chamber Young Professionals, sponsors of this event, welcome the entire business community. Play badminton, soccer, wiffle ball, croquet or bocce, pitch horseshoes or take a swim in the heated pool overlooking the bay. Walk down to the dock and enjoy the view from wooden swings, rockers, and gazebos and go for a paddle or row boat ride. There will be plenty of children’s activities, and all ages are welcome.
Admission is $5 plus a non-perishable item (canned food, clothing, etc.), but we encourage you to donate more if possible. Those who donate additional items will automatically be entered into our raffle, with a variety of great prizes up for grabs!
