Come taste, experience and enjoy all of our local bounty during the third annual Cape Land & Sea Harvest! Save the date for the four-day Cape-wide celebration from September 25-28, 2008.
THURSDAY
New for 2008, we will kick off the CLASH with a welcome reception behind the Maritime Museum. Samples from Cape Cod’s chefs and wine from The Wine List will be offered to get us in the local mood
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Participating restaurants will offer special tasting menus that showcase local ingredients both Friday and Saturday evenings.
During the day on Friday, educational presentations will be held at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, with speakers coming to share about sustainable farming, aquiculture, and what it means to be green on the Cape. Friday’s talks will end with a local foods showcase highlighting many of Cape Cod’s talented food and beverage artisans.
Saturday, farms, cranberry bogs, fisheries, wineries, breweries and other agricultural businesses will provide tours and behind-the-scenes views of their operations.
SUNDAY
A season finale farmers’ market will offer customers an opportunity to purchase locally harvested fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. And, at the seventh annual Cape Cod Oyster Festival, attendees will feast on raw, baked, roasted and stewed oysters prepared by local restaurants, and sample wines from the best vineyards in the world. All proceeds will benefit the United Way.
