Labor Day weekend this year will be a weekend to be remembered on Cape Cod. On Saturday, September 1, 2007 the 6th Annual Falmouth Chamber of Commerce POPS Goes The Summer festival and concert presented by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank will take place at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in Falmouth, Cape Cod. This event has become a Cape classic and tradition in its six exciting years occupying the fairgrounds.
POPS Goes The Summer tables that seat 10 guests may be purchased for $450.00 by visiting www.FalmouthChamber.com or by calling the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce at (508) 548-8500. Sponsorships including additional VIP amenities and premium table placement are also available to both individuals and businesses.
The public is welcome to bring beach chairs, blankets and picnic suppers while enjoying a safe and memorable evening in the lawn area for free.
The excitement explodes at 4:00PM with a pre-concert festival that features a variety of family activities, art exhibition and demonstrations and live music including performances by the Caribbean steel drum band, “Magic of Steel”. Families can stroll together through the multiple activity areas and enjoy Falmouth’s wealth of talented artists.
At 7:00PM the main stage will come alive with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra and featured guest vocalist and Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte under the direction of Royston Nash.
The evening will end with a captivating display of fireworks, designed and produced by Atlas PyroVision Productions of New Hampshire. This phenomenal finale will dance in the sky to the rhythm of the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra’s enthralling music.
POPS Goes The Summer is one of the biggest events in which cultural and business sectors join together to give something back to the community at large. More than 7,000 Cape Cod residents and visitors attend this public event. This collaboration is one of the many enchanting attributes of which our quintessential, New England coastal town prides itself.
