Village of Scarecrows & "Scared Crow" Scavenger Hunt
Some towns display pumpkins and others make people out of them, but Falmouth Village is famous for its striking collection of scarecrows displayed throughout October and November. Be sure to visit Falmouth Village to take in the creative scarecrows fashioned by retailers, restaurants and businesses along Falmouth Village’s Main Street and Queens Buyway, welcoming customers to their businesses. From “Gumby-themed” to scary and pretty, you’ll be amazed at the inventive and unique scarecrow decorating abilities among Falmouth Village Association members and the pride they take in their scarecrows too! Be sure to vote for your favorite one in the People’s Choice Award on Falmouth Village’s Facebook page.
To add to the fun, be sure to participate in the "scared crow" scavenger hunt too! The Falmouth Village Scarecrows are so effective, they've scared the crows into businesses up and down Main Street and the Queens Buyway. Pick up a registration sheet from businesses throughout Falmouth Village, then look for the scared crows inside participating stores. There are at least 20 of them! Find all the scared crows and your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes from participating businesses. It's easy, fun and free! No purchase required.
