The Falmouth Regatta
“Falmouth to Hyannis Race”
The Falmouth Yacht Club, in cooperation with the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce and MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service are staging an annual Falmouth to Hyannis Regatta in late May every year. The 20 mile +/- course will start at 10:00am near the mouth of Falmouth Harbor and finish in Hyannis.
As a precursor to other Cape Cod season-opening races, the Falmouth leg allows sailors, particularly from points west of Cape Cod, an opportunity to shake down and prep for the Hyannis to Nantucket sail later that same weekend. In addition, the stop-over in Falmouth Harbor will give delivery crews and visiting yachtsmen an opportunity to visit and enjoy the hospitality of one of the jewels of Cape Cod, Falmouth. Welcoming sailors with frugal dockage and mooring space courtesy of MacDougalls’, Falmouth Yacht Club and the Town of Falmouth and the best of Main Street’s dining and shopping, the Falmouth to Hyannis Race will become an event sailors will come to enjoy year after year.
