Wednesday mornings, 10:00 am: (June 20th through August 29): “A Day in the Life of a Colonial Kid” (FREE)
Each Wednesday morning throughout the summer, children can come to this free program and experience aspects of what life was like during the colonial period. This is ideal for toddlers through fifth grade.

Friday, July 27th, 10:00 am: Teddy Bear Picnic and Tea—Build Your Own Bear!
($ 10 admission for children. Reservations required.)
A “make and take affair!” This program is for children and grown-ups alike! Parents and grandparents can bring their child and build their own teddy bear. You can name it, dress it and take it home. Once it is built, we will take it for tea. Reservations are required for this event.

Saturday, July 28th, 1:00 pm: The American Girl Tea Party
($ 5 admission for children. Reservations required.)
Children are invited to bring their “American Girl” dolls and join us in an afternoon tea party! We will be having tea and pastries, but this tea party will be much more than tasty treats. Children will learn how people in America would have served and drank tea, and will also learn about the role that tea and coffee played in 18th century American culture and society. This will be an elegant day for all!

Saturday, August 11th, 10:00 am: Colonial Games at the Museums on the Green
($5 per child.)

Did you ever wonder what children did for fun in the days before video games and organized sports? Step back in time and find out. This hands-on event will allow kids to experience what it was like for children over two hundred years ago. By participating in colonial games and activities, children will discover the past in a new and exciting way!

Tuesday, August 21st, 11:00 am: Animal World Experiences
($ 5 per child)

Experience a variety of exotic animals from around the world. Children will get an opportunity to truly come into contact with mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates like never before.
